Commercial Overclad Solutions
At Solfit, we’ve taken a fresh look at how to tackle old, leaking, or failing commercial roofs. Instead of stripping everything out or layering on more metal, our overclad solar system gives you a smart, sustainable upgrade, fixing the roof and powering your building. With Solfit’s award-winning in-roof panels, you can overclad asbestos, fibre cement, or metal roofs with a watertight system that does double duty – protect your property and produce clean energy.
How it works
Solfit creates a second skin of solar overcladding over the old roof to make it watertight.

The installation step process
Fund your over clad solar with a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) offers a simple, low-risk way to fund a Solfit over clad solar installation with no upfront capital cost. Through a PPA, a third-party funder designs, installs, owns and maintains the solar system on your building, while you purchase the clean electricity it generates at a fixed rate – typically lower than your existing energy tariff.
This approach allows commercial and industrial sites to reduce energy costs, cut carbon emissions and improve sustainability credentials from day one. At the end of the agreement, ownership of the Solfit over clad system can transfer to you, delivering long-term value from a high-quality, roof-integrated solar solution.
