Solar is specified by the housebuilder as a Solfit system. Contractors are engaged either as nominated partners or approved installers. All system designs, layouts and technical standards are defined by Solfit.

Before any work can begin, all contractors must complete Solfit Solar Services training and accreditation. This ensures:

• Understanding of system design and installation requirements
• Alignment with safety and compliance standards
• Eligibility for certification and warranty processes

Installation must be carried out in accordance with:

• Solfit system specifications
• Manufacturer guidance
• Relevant regulations and site requirements

Solfit provides a defined system approach to support consistent delivery across developments.

On completion, installations must be submitted through the Solfit Solar Services digital audit platform.

• Installations are reviewed within defined timeframes
• A proportion of installations are physically audited on site

Submission is required prior to certification and sign-off.

Where non-conformities are identified:

• Feedback is issued to the installer
• Remedial works are required within agreed timeframes
• Evidence must be resubmitted for review

Progression to certification is subject to compliance with defined standards.

Following successful review:

• Certification is issued (where applicable)
• Commissioning documentation is released
• Installations are signed off

This supports compliance and provides assurance to both contractor and housebuilder.

Solfit’s system warranty applies where:

• Installation aligns with Solfit system requirements
• Contractors are accredited
• Audit evidence is complete and approved
